New Orleans Event Venue Floorplan The Metropolitan 2 room at Generations Hall falls in between The Metropolitan One and Big Room on the floor plan. While this room is the perfect addition for the event or wedding that needs a bit of extra space, this room packs a big punch with regard to ambiance, audio / visual system, and functionality. This French Quarter warehouse style gem definitely stands alone and is the perfect room for a smaller reception. Open 35 foot, vaulted ceilings, second floor balcony, two bars, access to two sets of restrooms, three flown 6 foot projection screens, and a 47 inch plasma TV make The Metropolitan 2 one of the favorite rooms of party planners and guests alike.

AUDIO

  • FOUR Peavey QW series single 15″ cabinets. (4 15″ speakers total, 4 cabinets) flying from the ceiling on the dance floor
  • TWO Peavey QW series double 18″ subwoofers. (4 18″ speakers total, 2 cabinets) located under the stage
  • SIX Bose 402 filler speakers in the room for sound reinforcement
  • Peavey GPS series and QSC Power light amplifiers pushing the speakers at manufacturer required specs
  • 12 channel house mixer (not for band use, all channels are used in house)
  • 4 channel mixer with XLR inputs for client use

VIDEO

  • THREE Standard Video projectors with hanging screens located above eye level approximately 15ft in air
  • Edirol video mixer – capable inputs are S-video, BNC, 1/4″, coax (HDMI is not available)
  • Computer based video/audio playback available, examples are PowerPoint and mp4 files
  • TWO CCTV cameras available for dance floor video (zoom, pan, or tilt not available)
  • ONE 47″ plasma TV

LIGHTING

  • The intelligent lights are controlled by Martin Light Jockey (a computer based dmx software)
  • SIXTEEN Par 64 stage lights controlled by a simple Leviton dimmer pack
  • FOUR Martin Mac 250 intelligent lights (used for ambient lighting & table lighting)
  • TWELVE Trackspot intelligent lights (used for ambient and table lighting)
  • SIX Data flash strobe lights controlled by Highend light board
  • ELEVEN LED par lights scraping the walls and are color changeable
  • TWO LED lights over raised bar and are color changeable
  • ONE Disco ball on the dance floor
